Colquitt Regional Medical Center

Colquitt Regional Medical Center

Priding ourselves in "High-tech Health Care with a Home Town Touch".
The tradition of quality health care at Colquitt Regional Medical Center began more than 60 years ago with a challenge to the residents of Moultrie and Colquitt County from one of its leading citizens.

On the heels of the great depression, W. C. Vereen called on the community to match his generous pledge of $50,000, which would secure the land and build and equip Colquitt County's first public hospital. The Moultrie Hospital Corporation was formed and, with the assistance of Franklin Roosevelt's Work Progress Administration, it completed the successful fund-raising efforts. The Vereen Memorial Hospital was dedicated in October of 1939. More than a half a century later, much has changed at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, including the name. However, the generosity and concern of our citizens who support the tradition of quality health care in this community continues.

Today, Colquitt Regional Medical Center takes pride in making the latest in equipment, facilities and training available to a highly skilled staff of physicians, nurses, technologists and therapists. We are proud of our heritage and look forward to providing high tech health care with a hometown touch for the next 60 years and beyond.
