Chatuge Regional is a Critical Access Hospital with a 112 bed Nursing Home. The facilities are located in downtown Hiawassee, Georgia. Our hospital and nursing home are not-for-profit entities and are owned and governed by Union General Hospital, Inc. located in Blairsville, Ga. Chatuge Regional began seeing patients in the mid 1950's and has offered quality health care to residents of North Georgia and Western North Carolina since its inception.
Chatuge would be best classified as a general purpose hospital offering out-patient as well as inpatient services. The governing board has ensured that the hospital is equipped with excellent medical technology and diagnostic equipment and a highly skilled staff of physicians, nurses, technologists and therapists.
